The centre-back had previously conceded a penalty that allowed Dortmund to extend their lead to 4-2. However, he redeemed himself by heading in a cross from Dusan Vlahovic just two minutes after Vlahovic's equalising goal in the 94th minute.
Both teams struggled to make an impact in the first half, as they effectively neutralised each other in midfield, resulting in a lackluster display that failed to excite the crowd.
However, the second half proved to be a spectacle, with a total of eight goals scored after the 51st minute. Juventus demonstrated resilience by coming from behind three times, providing fans with an exhilarating conclusion to the match.
