Frustrated Rangers fans attempted to block the team bus from leaving Falkirk Stadium following a 1-1 draw on Sunday, necessitating a significant police presence to ensure the safe exit of players and staff.
Under pressure, head coach Russell Martin was escorted away from the venue in a separate vehicle by police to avoid confrontation with supporters, who have been vocal in their calls for his dismissal for several weeks.
A group of fans, predominantly dressed in black, were led away from the stadium around 18:30 BST, more than 90 minutes after the match concluded.
This draw adds to a string of disappointing results for Rangers, leaving them in eighth place in the Premiership, 11 points behind league leaders Hearts and nine points adrift of rivals Celtic.
Martin, who took over the role on a three-year contract in June, has secured only one victory in his first seven league matches. His tenure has been marked by protests and chants from fans demanding his resignation during recent games.
It remains uncertain whether the club's board will continue to support the former Southampton manager during the upcoming international break, as Rangers will not play again until October 18.
