"If you look at the table now, it has to resonate with them [his players]," he said. "I’ve tiptoed around them a little bit. We live in a society where you can’t always tell people the truth, so you have to approach it differently. Our primary goal is to stay in this division, and we certainly have the players to do that. But right now, I’m counting on three or four players every week to lead, and others need to step up."

The festive fixture schedule is notoriously demanding, and with their current form, Robinson is not looking forward to the upcoming match against Aberdeen. Following that, they have crucial home games against Dundee United, Livingston, and Kilmarnock, along with the cup final against Celtic. "I’ve been here before," Robinson said. "I trust the players in the dressing room to push themselves, but some need to contribute more."
