Thomas Frank Confirms Alignment with Tottenham's Leadership Amidst Fan Pressure
Head coach Thomas Frank has stated that Tottenham Hotspur is "completely aligned" regarding the club's future, despite facing mounting pressure from fans for improved results.
Frank emphasized the unity within the club, praising chief executive Vinai Venkatesham for making "sensible decisions" and being "one of the best communicators" he has encountered.
The Spurs faced disappointment from their supporters after a 1-1 draw against Sunderland on Sunday, marking a troubling trend with only two victories in their last 11 Premier League matches.
Recent managerial changes in the league, including Enzo Maresca's departure from Chelsea and Ruben Amorim's sacking at Manchester United, have raised concerns about stability within clubs. However, Frank assured that he has no issues with Tottenham's leadership.
"I think the biggest thing is that we are completely aligned with the ownership," Frank remarked. "Vinai is one of the best communicators I have ever met. As a CEO and leader, he excels in that regard.
"While I consider myself competent, Vinai is far superior, which is vital for both internal and external communication. He remains calm and makes sensible decisions—two rare qualities in football. He truly understands the journey we are on."
Tottenham, currently sitting 13th in the Premier League, is preparing to visit Bournemouth on Wednesday. The team has remained unbeaten in their last three matches, yet has struggled to score from open play since December 6.
Speculation surrounding sporting director Fabio Paratici's potential return to Italy with Fiorentina has persisted, but he continues to serve at Spurs. Frank commented, "We’re paying his wage, and he’s working very hard. The last time I spoke to him was in the morning before the Sunderland game."
