Tottenham Hotspur Secures £100 Million Investment to Enhance Financial Stability

Tottenham Hotspur's majority owners have injected £100 million of new capital into the club.

The investment aims to "further strengthen the club's financial position and equip the leadership team with additional resources to focus on driving long-term sporting success," according to the club.

The investment group Enic, controlled by the Lewis Family Trust, holds an 86.58% majority stake in Tottenham, while the remaining 13.42% is owned by minority investors.

Former chairman Daniel Levy owns 29.88% of Enic but has no direct involvement with the club following his resignation in September.

Previously, the majority of Enic was owned by British businessman Joe Lewis, who transferred ownership to the Lewis Family Trust in 2022 and is no longer associated with the club.

The Lewis family has been instrumental in recent organizational changes at Tottenham. A club statement noted that "this additional capital is part of the Lewis family's ongoing commitment to the club and its future."

A source close to the family indicated, "This is initial additional funding. As the club's management determines what is necessary for success, more resources will be made available. The Lewis family is committed to supporting the club's success."

Since Levy's departure, there have been three expressions of interest regarding a potential takeover of Spurs. The most recent was from American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick, who subsequently ruled out making a formal takeover bid after Tottenham insisted the club is not for sale.
