Wolves Manager Vitor Pereira Signs New Three-Year Contract
Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has signed a new three-year contract at Molineux.
Pereira led the West Midlands club to a 16th-place finish last season, ensuring their Premier League safety after joining the team in December 2024 when they were positioned 19th.
The 57-year-old's previous contract was set to expire in the summer of 2026.
Currently, Wolves find themselves at the bottom of the league table after suffering defeats in their first four matches.
Chairman Jeff Shi expressed his confidence in Pereira, stating, "Vitor has made a very positive impact during his time at Wolves. He has brought clarity, energy, and a team spirit that provides a solid foundation for success.
"Now is a time for stability. Vitor needs time to work with the squad and develop chemistry with new players, and we will do everything possible to support him and his staff."
This summer, Wolves lost several key players, including Matheus Cunha, who transferred to Manchester United for £62.5 million, Rayan Ait-Nouri to Manchester City for £31 million, and Nelson Semedo, who joined Fenerbahce.
Speculation surrounding the future of Norwegian striker Jorgen Strand Larsen has also added to the challenges faced by Wolves during this difficult start to the season, as Pereira integrates five new recruits into the squad.
"We will elevate our performance, with the ambition to make our supporters proud on the pitch," Pereira stated. "I am very proud to be the head coach of Wolves. It is an honor for me. This is the moment for us to unite."
