Arsenal Receives Positive Injury News on Saka and Odegaard

Arsenal has received encouraging news regarding Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, as scans indicate that neither player has sustained long-term injuries. This comes after both were substituted early during the Gunners' impressive 5-0 victory over Leeds United.

Odegaard, the team captain, was substituted in the first half due to a shoulder injury, while Saka exited the match in the second half with concerns over a potential hamstring injury.

Following the match, manager Mikel Arteta expressed initial concerns about Saka's injury, describing it as "significant." However, subsequent reports have alleviated those worries, suggesting that neither player is expected to be sidelined for an extended period.

It is worth noting that Saka had previously suffered a serious injury to his right hamstring last season, which kept him out of action for four months. Fortunately, the current issue is not affecting the same leg.

Arsenal is already coping with the absence of forward Kai Havertz, who is sidelined due to a knee injury. In response, the club acted swiftly to mitigate the impact of his absence by securing the £60 million signing of Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace.

Additionally, Christian Norgaard and Gabriel Jesus were also unavailable for the match against Leeds due to injuries.

Arsenal is set to face Liverpool in the Premier League on August 31.
