Nottingham Forest Appoints Sean Dyche as New Manager
Nottingham Forest has appointed former Burnley and Everton manager Sean Dyche as their new head coach.
The 54-year-old Englishman has signed a contract that will run until the summer of 2027, making him the club's third manager this season.
Dyche takes over from Ange Postecoglou, who was dismissed after just 39 days in charge, following a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League. Postecoglou's tenure saw him fail to secure a win in eight matches, managing only two draws and six losses after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo, who was let go after just three games.
Currently, Nottingham Forest sits in 18th place in the league table, having won only one of their first eight matches in what has been a challenging start to the season.
Dyche's debut match will be a Europa League fixture at home against Porto on Thursday, followed by a Premier League clash against Bournemouth on Sunday.
The search for a new manager was spearheaded by Forest's global head of football, Edu Gaspar, and the global technical director, George Syrianos. Former Italy and Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was also in discussions for the role, along with Fulham manager Marco Silva, who was highly regarded by the club.

Dyche's coaching staff will include Ian Woan and Steven Stone, both of whom are former Nottingham Forest players.
