Nottingham Forest Signs Angus Gunn on One-Year Deal
Nottingham Forest has signed Scottish goalkeeper Angus Gunn on a one-year contract.
Gunn made 35 appearances in the Championship for Norwich City last season but departed the club after his contract expired in May.
At 29 years old, Gunn began his career at Norwich before moving to Manchester City, where he signed his first professional contract in 2013.
In 2018, he joined Southampton, and three years later, he returned to Norwich, making a total of 172 appearances for the Canaries across two spells.
Gunn expressed his enthusiasm for joining Nottingham Forest, stating, "This is a historic club on an exciting journey, and I’m looking forward to being a part of it and getting to work." He added, "I’m joining a strong group of goalkeepers, and I believe my experience will contribute positively to the team. I can’t wait to get started."
Gunn has earned 16 caps for Scotland and started all three of their group matches at Euro 2024 last year.
He will compete with Matz Sels, who was a key player for Forest in the league last season, achieving 13 clean sheets and sharing the Golden Glove award with Arsenal's David Raya.
