John Robertson Appointed Interim Manager of Ross County
John Robertson has been appointed as the interim manager of Ross County following the departure of Don Cowie.
Cowie left his position on Sunday, stating that he had "mutually agreed" with the club that this decision was in the best interest of the Scottish Championship's bottom team.
The Staggies currently have just one point from their first three matches of the season.
Robertson, 60, previously managed County in 2005 and returned to the club earlier this year as part of Cowie’s coaching staff. His managerial experience also includes stints at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Hearts, Livingston, Derry City, and East Fife.
Ross County announced on X that "Robertson will lead first team training and prepare the squad for our Scottish Championship match against Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park."
The match against Dunfermline is one of five Championship fixtures scheduled for Saturday.
Ross County was relegated to the second tier via the play-offs at the end of last season, concluding a six-year tenure in the Premiership.
